Hello my lovelies, I am back again..I am getting used to this blogging of a job and it is going alright sha..I hope to be more frequent once I am done my exams and what not. I now know what them Linda and Ladun go through putting up posts everyday just to satisfy their readers..I hail you people oo.
Today's topic is about breakfast. Breakfast is very important...it is tres tres importante. I never used to eat breakfast infact my food schedule was to eat once a day. I would skip breakfast and maybe buy some snacks from Tim Hortons or some food shop close by anticipating my ever loyal rice for dinner. I would now combine breakfast, lunch and dinner plus desert in one meal because I will be so hungry due to not eating properly the whole day. When I found out how much breakfast was important, I did not go a day without missing it. Now, if I miss breakfast, my body will be itching me like am incomplete. It is the most important meal of the day and you best believe it. Some studies have shown that people who eat breakfast tend to loose more weight than people who do not do breakfast. Breakfast can range from a cup of coffee or tea to bread, eggs and sausages depending on your mood and what you feel like. The most important thing is to make sure you get something in your mouth. It would give you a head start for the day and also stop you from nibbling from unnecessary stuff like chocolates or cookies during the day. On a good day, I wake up and I have oats for breakfast which is very good because of its high fibre content. It would keep you full longer. I also do brown/wholemeal bread with eggs which are also very good sources of proteins and chicken sausages, I have one egg with the yolk or most times I have two eggs without the yolk because that is where the cholesterol sits..in the yolk! I do cereal on the days I do not have lectures and when I have lectures I grab some toast with jam, or weight watchers tuna mayo. You could also have fruit salad for breakfast if you feel like it. The point is just trying to get something to go down your system in the morning that would keep you going all day long. Some other benefits of eating breakfast include:
- A more nutritionally complete diet, higher in nutrients, vitamins and minerals;
- Improved concentration and performance in the classroom or the boardroom;
- More strength and endurance to engage in physical activity;
- Lower cholesterol levels
So promise me you are going to start this journey by getting on that breakfast P. Take it one day at at time and within two weeks you would get used to it and it becomes a habit that you can not do without. I hope someone sees this and uses this tip as an advantage to begin on the weight loss journey. Thanks for reading, until next time...au revoir.
