How is everyone doing? I have not forgotten about tips on adopting a healthy lifestyle but I just wanted to do a quick recipe post. Feel like having some meatball sauce and pasta for lunch and then worried about the calorie content and start to pull back, well you can have it the healthier way and it would taste just as good if not better. I made some turkey balls yesterday and I just wanted to share my recipe with you guys, enjoy!
Ingredients:
- Lean ground minced turkey;
- Spice (salt, maggi to taste);
- 1/4 onions;
- one egg;
- 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour;
Method:
- Preheat oven to about 300 degrees celsius;
- In a clean bowl, place minced turkey, egg, onions and spices together (the reason why the egg is needed is because it binds the mixture together and makes it stick);
- Mix contents of the bowl till everything is even and looks sort of mushy;
- Sprinkle some flour on the baking tray so the turkey mix won't stick to the pan;
- Dip hand in flour and scoop turkey mix and roll into a ball;
- Place rolled balls on the tray until the mixture is done;
- Place balls in the oven to bake for about 20 - 25 mins while turning sides;
- Once ready cook and eat with your favourite pasta sauce.
You can deep fry if you want but I went the healthier route and baked mine. Please let me know if you try this, ciao!
Until next time guys,
Its not miss Bee...its mummy..xxx
Will definitely try this :)
