I hope you had a great week and look forward to having a good weekend. I want to do the final post on adopting a healthy lifestyle. It took me a while but I am glad to be rounding this up.
After setting a goal, one thing that would come up which is inevitable are the challenges you face while trying to reach your desired goal. Challenges always come up when you decide to make a change for the better. It might seem like your goal is unachievable but how you manage the challenges will determine how far you go. Challenges are bound to happen but the most important thing is dealing with them and overcoming them.
Some of the things to do to overcome challenges include:
- Taking the negatives and using it your advantage. You might have people laughing at you asking what you think you are doing, or people telling you how you have always been on the plus side and cannot change that. It is easy for people to talk you out of doing what you want to do but always make that conscious effort to remember why you are doing what you are doing (that is why motivation is important).
- Disciplining yourself is a huge challenge when it comes to weight loss. I won't advise you to starve but you have to find a way of cutting down on the unhealthy stuff/junk. You can have food that you love but healthier versions of it. This was a huge challenge for me and I found out taking baby steps was a good way of overcoming this challenge. I reduced my food portion and also reduced the amount of times I had some certain types of food to once or at most twice a week. I also found ways to make food that I like using healthy ingredients. You can take a look at my this and that post here where I gave a list of food and the healthier option.
It is important to know what you take into your body when eating. It is all about balance, eating the right amount of carbs, proteins, fibre, iron and vitamins. Also, keep it in mind that you can get full satisfaction from eating food that you love by cooking and opting for a healthier version. It is important to incorporate it into one's lifestyle because then it comes naturally to you as opposed to starving to loose the weight and then when you feel good, you go back to eating unhealthy. It involves a lot of handwork and the rewards are promising I tell you!
This brings an end to the tips on adopting a healthy lifestyle series. I hope I can reach out to someone out there and help with a lifestyle change. Please feel free to comment and ask me any questions and I would be more than happy to answer to the best of my knowledge and ability :) Thanks for stopping by and please follow.
Until next guys,
Its not miss Bee...its mummy..xx
