Hello people...how is everyone doing? How was the weekend and how is the week going? I had a good weekend but my diet game was not on *covers face*. I indulged a little but I am very well on track on now :D. Unto the topic of the day.
I want to talk about losing that weight yourself and not relying on some sort of diet. My philosophy about weight loss is to find what works out for you and then continue with it. I know there's a lot of jenny craig, weight watchers, duncan diet ish going on now and everyone seems to want to get on it because of the results we see on tv. It is okay to follow these diets but if it doesn't work for you, don't kill yourself or sweat over it. I once knew someone who did jenny craig for a while, spent money buying their food (3 square meals and snacks) but no results. She was worried at the way she wasn't shedding the weight off as she saw the ambassadors of jenny craig loosing the weight in 3 months or less.
She got off the craig madness and decided to try something else which was going to the gym and just basically cutting off food that she did not deem fit to include in her diet and she is doing great. Though she is shedding the pounds off slowly, but she is loving herself and connecting with her body more. My point? Please do what works best for you. There are loads of sources online as to how to cut down on food and what kind of food to feed on, what kind of snacks to feed on. Also, one thing I do is to look at the calorie content of whatever am eating..I AM A FREAK! I look at the amount of calories, saturated fat, sugar and sodium content. I like to eat stuff less than 9gms of sugar. If it is over 9gms my body will start to itch and I feel like am doing something I shouldn't be doing. I would do a more elaborate post on food contents but the whole idea is to stick with what works for you and make sure you are consistent with it. A lot of people give up too suddenly when they don't see results in the first few weeks. Keep at it, everyone's body type is different. Some loose it fast and some loose it slow. Just make sure to keep doing what you are doing and if you need to add going to the gym...so be it..I hope I am able to reach out to someone out there and I would also appreciate some feedback from people concerning their own experience with weight loss, thoughts and opinions...until next time guys.
